Bring your family for an exciting morning with WV authors! Read Aloud West Virginia of Monongalia County is sponsoring readings by two of West Virginia’s premier authors of children's books, Anna Smucker and Marc Harshman, at the Morgantown Mall on Saturday April 5 at 11:30 am. Ms. Smucker is from Bridgeport and is an author of nine award-winning books, including Golden Delicious: A Cinderella Apple Story and Brother Giovanni's Little Reward: How the Pretzel Was Born. Mr. Harshman lives in Wheeling and has authored 14 children’s books, including The Storm, a Smithsonian Notable Book, as well as numerous collections of poetry. His newest poetry book is forthcoming from WVU Press. In 2012, he was appointed as West Virginia's Poet Laureate. Together, Ms. Smucker and Mr. Harshman authored Fallingwater: The Building of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Masterpiece, an Amazon Children’s Nonfiction Book of the Month. These readings are open to the community at no charge.
